Our measured building provision is supported by HDS Laser Scanning. Some diverse examples of projects recently undertaken with laser scanning include:
1750 sq m care home - floorplans and elevations;
a vaulted basement - floorplans, elevations and sections;
200m street scene of a variety of old and newer buildings in central Brighton;
3000 sq m cave-like undercroft to a warehouse - floorplan(with contours!), elevation and sections;
a 4-bed, 3-storey detached house - floorplans, elevations and sections;
a 4-storey, national corporate head office listed building - floorplans and elevations;
a 3500 sq m listed school building - floorplans and elevations; and
a 2600 sq m care home - floorplans.
Laser scan sourced data is oriented into survey grid/datum using survey control points either established by Total Station or GNSS RTK, as appropriate.
Experience
Our Surveyors have experience of conducting a wide variety of Measured Building Surveys. We can produce Floorplans, Sections, Elevations, Street scenes, as required.
Presentation
We expertly draft the final survey plan in traditional 2D plans, sections and elevations (including street scenes) accurately using CAD and presented to standard ISO sheet sizes and to appropriate scales between 1:50 & 1:500, as applicable, delivered in DWG and PDF formats.
Discretion
Your survey will be undertaken by a qualified, experienced surveyor, working to the RICS code of ethics. We are discrete and courteous at all times. We aim to minimise the impact of our presence on site operational activities. We have experience working on secure sites such as care homes & schools. We can provide DBS Enhanced reports for our surveyors, if legitimately required.
Pricing
We offer free, fixed price quotations. We assume competive tender, giving our best price for estimated time & costs. Each survey is different, with varying timescale (e.g. floorplans are affected by room count & feature details) and travel costs.
Sustainable
We aim to undertake our quotations remotely to avoid unnecessary travel, in keeping with our Environmental Policy. So we are grateful for any photographs, fire safety floor plans and detailed requirements. We supply our plans electronically, in DWG and PDF formats. Though, we can provide paper copies at your discretion and convenience (see printing fee structure).
